About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our network systems. You will work on-site at our Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD location and will be required to have a security clearance. Your main objective will be to design, implement, and maintain network security measures to protect our organization from cyber threats. You will work closely with our IT team to identify vulnerabilities and develop solutions to mitigate risks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in network security engineering
• In-depth understanding of network infrastructure security such as Routers, Firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
• Work with Cyber team regarding log exports and providing cyber analytic data
• Understand real-time traffic analysis and response
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Federal Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in network security (e.g. CISSP, CCNA Security)
• Experience with network security monitoring protocols such as Syslog, SNMP, and Netflow
• History of working with tools such as Elastic, Logstash, and Splunk

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement network security measures to protect our organization from cyber threats
• Monitor network activity to identify and prevent security breaches
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Collaborate with IT team to identify vulnerabilities and develop solutions to mitigate risks
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in network security

You will use your analytical skills to monitor network activity and identify potential vulnerabilities.
